Ross High School Once Again Named To US News & World Report’s “Best High Schools” List Ross High School Ranks High in US NEWS Report

This morning, April 30, 2019, US News released what they are calling the most holistic and comprehensive evaluation of America’s public high schools ever published.

Ross High School was one of only three Butler County high schools (along with Lakota East and Lakota West) to crack the top 80 schools in Ohio on US News & World Report’s 2019 Best High Schools List.  This report reviewed more than 23,200 high schools across the country and Ross ranked in the top 10% nationally.

This continues a run of good news for Ross in terms of recognition at the state and national levels.  Earlier this school year, the Ohio Department of Education announced that Ross High School had earned the highest Performance Index of any high school in Butler County for the third time in the last 4 years.  Additionally, Ross High School has had the county’s highest graduation rate for 7 of the past 8 years.

“There is no magic to our success.  We have two excellent elementary schools that feed into a great middle school, which in turn feeds into an outstanding high school.  We have a dedicated staff teaching great kids who are supported by parents and a community that value and recognize the importance of education.”  - RHS Principal Brian Martin

Important Information for Incoming Seniors

All 12th grade students are required to show proof of TWO meningitis vaccines, unless the first meningitis vaccine was given after the age of 16. If the first vaccine is given after the age of 16, only one vaccine is necessary. All seniors attending Ross High School or Butler Tech must provide a record from a physician or clinic with the date the shot was given. Records must be provided to Ross High School prior to the first day of the 2017-2018 school year. It is important that you obtain these vaccines and the record as quickly as possible. Students without proof of a meningitis vaccine will face exclusion from school as required by law in the state of Ohio. Records can be dropped off at Ross High School, faxed to 863-8340, or emailed to the school nurse: shelli.turco@rossrams.com
